In a match played in Puerto La Cruz, Dynamo Puerto won a resounding 2-0 victory over Anzoátegui FC. The goals, by Hensley Salas in the 12th minute and Luis Castillo in the 48th minute, ensured a triumphant start for the local team.

For its part, Bolívar SC shone in the CTE Cachamay by defeating AIFI de Guayana 2-0 with authority.
