The eighth date of the exciting Apertura 2024 tournament left a trail of memorable matches that kept fans on the edge of their seats. From Tuesday, March 19 to Wednesday, March 20, the stadiums became scenes for sports battles full of intensity and emotion.

 

Starting with Tuesday's matches, Estudiantes de MĂ©rida faced UCV FC in a duel where every minute counted. The grass of the Metropolitan Stadium, in MĂ©rida, witnessed the goal of Daniel Carrillo, who in the 64th minute, from the penalty spot, tipped the balance in favor of UCV FC. The refereeing was in charge of Emikar Calderas, from Lara, who maintained control of the match at all times.

 

Simultaneously, at the Olympic Stadium in Caracas, Deportivo La Guaira and Carabobo FC faced each other in a tactical clash that ended in a goalless draw. Under the watchful eye of referee Yeferzon Miranda, from Zulia, both teams fought to impose their style of play, but neither net moved.

 

Meanwhile, at the La Carolina Stadium in Barinas, Portuguesa FC received Metropolitanos FC in a match full of goals and emotions. In another notable match, Caracas FC received Angostura FC at the Olympic Stadium in Caracas. It was a match full of intensity where Jorge GĂłmez became the hero of Angostura FC by scoring the only goal of the game in the 58th minute, under the watchful eye of referee JesĂşs Valenzuela, from Portuguesa.

 

The duel between Zamora FC and Academia Puerto Cabello at the La Carolina Stadium in Barinas ended without goals, reflecting the strong defense of both teams and the hard work of the goalkeepers under the direction of referee Michael Figueroa, from the Capital District.

 

Finally, at the Pueblo Nuevo Stadium in San Cristóbal, Deportivo Táchira faced Monagas in an exciting match where Jesús Hernández scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot in the 65th minute, sealing the victory for his team under the watchful eye of the referee Leonardo Caripa, from Lara.
